Carlock FPD and surrounding departments train at ISU
This week, don't be surprised to see fire trucks and smoke while driving up Main St. in Normal.
That's just the fire department training.
Illinois State University's now decommissioned dormitories, Dunn, Barton and Walker Halls will serve as the site for multiple training scenarios in the upcoming week.
Training will consist of search and rescue, ladders, fire scene operations, and live fire fighting operations.
Dunn, Barton and Walker halls will be demolished following the training, to make way for a new multi-million dollar recreation center for the university.
Carlockfire.org Redesign Launched
Carlock Fire Protection District webmaster, Matt Swaney, reported today that the new CarlockFire.org website is launched.
This web redesign converts our old site into a content management system which will allow easier access to our content, as well as allowing members to submit and interact with one another.
In addition, the site is easier to maintain and will offer many features that were unavailable to the website previously such as Message boards, User-Submitted Photos, News Updates, and More!
